Fractal Assistant 2 Motivation

"There is a strong sense of motivation for creating a new version of Fractal Assistant, especially for me. As it's my brainchild, I want it to be as fully-featured as it can be, and as successful as possible.

The original version got about as far as it could without a complete overhaul. So, I decided that instead, I would make a new version. A *better* version. Sourceforge was the ideal place to put this new version. It is free, as should be. Profit isn't top of my agenda. To create a piece of software that people can enjoy and get good use out if is motivation enough.

I originally created Fractal Assistant so that Jim (you know who you are), who is at University with me, could create fractals quickly and easily. He has his own fractals website, you see. He renders all his images on his Amiga 1200, and it's slow. So I thought he would like a bit of a faster version. He didn't seem too impressed when I first showed it him. I'm hoping to change his mind with this next version! So, Jim. This is for you. I hope it will be everything you could ever want from a fractal application!

Right, if I ever finish my exams and graduate, it'll get implemented! Shouldn't be long now!"
